Ludlow Trails Summer Updates

Adaptive Trail Progress at Back 40

Exciting news from the Back 40 Trails in Ludlow: the trail network is currently undergoing the process of certification for adaptive use. This critical step will ensure the trails meet the highest standards for accessibility, welcoming riders with a range of mobility needs. The move reflects LAST’s commitment to making the outdoors more inclusive and to supporting adaptive athletes across Vermont and beyond.

Stay tuned as we move closer to completing this important milestone!

Breaking Ground at Fletcher Farm Trails

The Fletcher Farm Trails project has taken a major leap forward this year. With our Act 250 permit in the books, an archeological survey was recently completed on the trail corridor checking another box for responsible trail building.

This spring, LAST volunteers teamed up with the talented crew from Sinuosity trail builders to break ground on over 3 miles of new trails. This new trail network will wind through the scenic woodlands near Fletcher Farm, adding a diverse mix of terrain for riders, hikers, and nature lovers of all experience levels.

These trails are being built with sustainability and community in mind — and we can’t wait to get wheels and boots on them as soon as conditions allow.

Thank You

None of this would be possible without the support of our volunteers, partners, and local stakeholders. Whether you’re helping with trail building, offering feedback, or spreading the word, your involvement is what keeps LAST growing strong.

Want to get involved? Keep an eye out for upcoming work days and events. And as always, happy trails!
